What is a Brain Aneurysm?
A cerebral aneurysm (also known as an intracranial or intracerebral aneurysm) is an abnormal, weak spot on a blood vessel wall that causes an outward bulging, likened to a bubble. The bulging aneurysm can put pressure on a nerve or surrounding brain tissue.
Why is this so important?
As many as 1 in 50 people will develop a brain aneurysm
How YOU Can Help!

The Joe Niekro Foundation™ is committed to supporting patients and families, research, treatment and awareness of Brain Aneurysms, AVMs and Hemorrhagic Strokes. We provide education on the risk factors, causes and treatments of these conditions, while funding the advancement of neurological research.
